Dr. Maria Uini Baptista participated in the 32nd International Women Leaders Conference hosted by MASHAV and @MCTC_Haifa last October. As part of events dedicated to International Women’s Month, she delivered the keynote at a gathering held at the Israeli Ambassador’s residence in Luanda, titled "Women Who Build the Future: Leadership, Institutions and Impact." She shared her experience at the Conference in Israel, emphasizing women’s leadership and inclusive development. Her speech sparked a fruitful exchange of ideas among participants from across Angola. Center of Excellence in Albania: the greenhouses are taking shape, and the work doesn’t stop. The project is steadily progressing in the Elbasan region, in close cooperation with local partners and institutions. MASHAV’s Centers of Excellence are established around the world in partnership with local stakeholders, based on each country’s needs. They serve as platforms for demonstrating Israeli agricultural technologies adapted to local conditions, while providing training, knowledge sharing, and innovation support.

This year’s World Water Day 2026 theme was Water and Gender. We were proud to mark the occasion with a special webinar, held in collaboration with @InnovationAfric Israel's Water Authority, featuring an all-female panel of experts from Israel’s water sector. The discussion was moderated by MASHAV Water Attaché in India @AmsNoa , with Head of MASHAV @EynatShlein and Special Envoy for Water @RonyYedidia welcoming participants from around the world. 🏥 Israel turns emergency challenges into sharable expertise! Yesterday, @IsraelMFA Economic Division, with @MASHAV, @IsraelFTA, @Economy_IL, @IsraelMOH and partners, hosted a global webinar on Israeli expertise in field hospitals. Over the years, thousands of Kenyan professionals have benefited from @MASHAVisrael training programs, gaining practical skills that go far beyond the classroom. Through training in Israel and right here in Kenya, MASHAV supports learning across sectors including agriculture, education, health, and community resilience. From the 11-month agricultural internship to short professional courses, participants return home ready to take action. The theme for this year's Women's History Month is "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future," and today we'd like to celebrate a woman who embodies exactly that. Meet MASHAV Alumna Dr. Euphrasie Kouassi Yao, holder of a UNESCO Chair on “Water, Women and Decision-Making” and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire. She champions gender equality and strengthens women’s participation in decision-making at the highest levels. After completing a MASHAV course in rural development at Kibbutz Shefayim, Dr. Kouassi Yao returned to Côte d'Ivoire to lead a project establishing sustainable clean water access points in rural communities, with men and women sharing equal leadership throughout. The initiative earned her a medal at the 6th International Water Symposium. Partnerships and knowledge-sharing drive lasting change, and MASHAV is proud to support initiatives that empower women and create sustainable solutions worldwide.

En el día de ayer el Embajador de Israel en Argentina, @AmbEyalSela , visitó Francisco Solano para presidir un acto muy especial: la entrega de una ambulancia de alta complejidad donada por la Embajada de Israel en Argentina y @MASHAVisrael al Cuerpo de Bomberos local. El acto contó con una cálida recepción: la Banda de Bomberos interpretando el Hatikva, el himno nacional de israel, y el himno nacional argentino. Hicieron uso de la palabra @diegohdiez10 , Presidente del Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios, el Embajador Eyal Sela y el Diputado @nsotelolar , ex Secretario de Culto y civilización de Cancillería. El Presidente del Cuerpo de Bomberos agradeció profundamente a MASHAV y a la Embajada por este gesto que fortalece la capacidad de respuesta de quienes protegen vidas cada día. También expresó su reconocimiento por que "el cuerpo diplomático de un país tan relevante" eligiera estar presente en Francisco Solano, llevando un mensaje de cercanía y cooperación. Nahuel Sotelo destacó los valores compartidos entre Argentina e Israel y subrayó que occidente va a ganar la batalla contra el mal que se esta librando en medio oriente. Por su parte, el Embajador Sela agradeció a Mashav - Agencia israelí de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo - por el apoyo, y destacó las buenas relaciones entre las naciones, los valores occidentales en común cómo la libertad, así cómo la amistad del Presidente @JMilei .
