The Consulate General of Israel in Toronto and Western Canada strongly condemns the antisemitic attack that took place at Lawrence and Bathurst. Three people were targeted only because they are Jewish. This is not a minor incident. This is a hate crime committed in broad view, in a Jewish neighbourhood, against visibly Jewish pedestrians. We welcome the Toronto Police Service’s decision to investigate this as a hate crime and call on investigators to move swiftly to identify and apprehend the suspects. Jewish Torontonians should be able to walk their streets without fear. We stand with the victims and with the entire community, and we call on all levels of government and law enforcement to treat antisemitic violence with the urgency it demands.

Throughout Italy, antisemitism is escalating - wether attacks on Jews in the streets or the desecration of Holocaust memorials. Only moral depravity could drive those who vandalized the stumbling blocks commemorating Jews deported to Nazi death camps. This is not protest. It is hatred. We trust the Italian authorities will act firmly and decisively to confront this hatred and ensure the safety and dignity of Jewish communities.

🚨 FAKE NEWS Claims that a monastery in Yaroun in South Lebanon was “demolished” are false. The site is intact and safe. Spreading unverified reports like this is reckless, fuels unnecessary tension, and distorts the reality on the ground. Hezbollah has repeatedly used civilian homes and churches for its terror activities. In recent weeks, it also fired toward Israel from the vicinity of the monastery compound in Yaroun. IDF operations in the area targeted Hezbollah infrastructure while taking measures to ensure the monastery and other religious sites remained unharmed. We expect an immediate, public and clear correction of this claim. Israel will continue to protect holy sites and religious communities of all faiths without compromise.

Saif Abu Keshek, a leading member of the PCPA - an organization designated and sanctioned by the United States as a Hamas front - and Thiago Ávila, who operates with the PCPA and is suspected of illegal activity, have arrived in Israel. They will be transferred for questioning by law enforcement authorities.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Both will receive a consular visit from the representatives of their respective countries in Israel.

Saif Abu Keshek is a leading member of the PCPA, a front for the Hamas terrorist organization. The PCPA is an organization designated and sanctioned by the United States. Saif Abu Keshek serves as a liaison between senior Hamas officials and international actors, and he assists the terrorist organization in facilitating financial transfers. He was arrested in Egypt and deported in June 2025. He also faced prior detention for questioning in Tunisia in connection with money laundering and financial irregularities. He is now being brought to Israel for questioning.

As published by the Board of Peace and the U.S. State Department, the humanitarian activity in the Gaza Strip is managed by the BoP, and this Hamas-led-flotilla is another provocation designed to divert attention from Hamas’s refusal to disarm - and to serve the PR interests of professional provocateurs. The Greek government agreed that the flotilla activists would be disembarked on its shores, and we thank it for that. Saif Abu Keshek, suspected of affiliation with a terrorist organization and Thiago Ávila suspected of illegal activity, will be brought to Israel for questioning. Israel will not allow the breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza.

The UK government cannot claim to be fighting the horrific wave of antisemitism and Jew-hatred if it’s not fighting the rabid and explicit incitement against the Jewish state. Hate slogans and antisemitic marches in the streets of London aren’t “free speech”. They are incitement. They bring terror directed against Jews. They must be banned. The phrase “Globalise the Intifada”, means killing Jews everywhere. It must be banned. This is what the British government must immediately do to fight antisemitism. Otherwise, it’s just more empty words.

We mourn the loss of Sergeant Liem Ben Hamo, 19, from Herzliya, a combat soldier in the 13th Battalion, Golani Brigade who fell during combat in Lebanon. Our hearts are with his family and loved ones. 🕯️ May his memory be a blessing.
