@HPbasketball 19 TOs game 1 and 22 TOs game 2. No matter the ref involvement. You not being anyone turning the ball over that much. They need to out their focus into not having live ball turnovers. PHX cleaned up the glass a bit better in game 2 which helped them not get 30 balled again.

Thoughts on officiating: - Fans always feel their team gets screwed, but universally, everyone watching OKC feels like something is off in how they're officiated. That matters. It just does. OKC Fans will claim jealousy or hate because the alternative is untenable for them. But there is a genuine feeling among all fans that the disparity in SGA's whistle to their defensive whistle is incongruous - The next step is the "So you think the league is rigging for a small market team?" and I understand the consequential thinking, but I think it's healthier to just focus on the problem. I think there's no grand conspiracy but there IS an incongruity in officiating. - Last year, we had an awesome first round, in which the players were openly pleading to be less physical because they felt it was dangerous. So now we've gotten a regular-season whistle. And it sucks. As fans, we hate it. I don't know what that balance should be because it's not my body on the line, but it sure feels like there's a way to have a physical contact sport set of officiating perameters that also deters dangerous play - Finch was campaigning to try and politic a win, but he also wasn't wrong when before Game 2 he made the point that the call should be based on what happens at point of contact and not what happens afterward (flop/flail/fall). The contact is what needs to matter and not the sell job after it. - Shai is genuinely difficult to officiate because he IS incredible at driving and controlling where he goes to challenge direct path defense. It's a genuine skill he has. - He also sells because otherwise he doesn't get the call. This is maybe the biggest problem of all: if you legitimately create the contact but don't performatively exagerate it, you will not be rewarded. That's a problem. - We always find something to say is a problem with the NBA, and more so in the playoffs when it's in the spotlight. But this is a genuijne issue for watchability. Fans don't want this. The league needs to listen.

@BigLuke32 @bballbreakdown I’m just saying that yes while there have been controversial calls. Foul count game 1: OKC 22, PHX 18. Game 2: PHX 25, OKC 21. FT Count: OKC 23, PHX 18. Game 2: OKC 25, PHX 22. The biggest difference in the series in turnovers and how much OKC is capitalizing off of that.

@bballbreakdown @MVC_CoachBryson No one is denying that, they are better that’s obvious. I’m just talking about the controversial calls, both sides, that’s all. Never said OKC was worse than PHX come on BBall and Coach Bryson, stop it

@BigLuke32 Let me ask you this: could there have been a perfectly good reason why I wasn't live tweeting this game?

I wish Devin Booker and Suns cried about all those turnovers they have had. But I’m just gonna mind my business.

As an AD, my job is to bring in and retain coaches who can build, develop, and win. At the same time, good coaches want to be in environments where they have a real opportunity to succeed. If a school’s vision does not prioritize winning or fails to provide the tools, support, and structure needed for success, it will struggle to attract and retain high level coaches. Talented coaches are intentional about where they invest their time and energy. Winning is not about cutting corners or doing it at all costs. It is about alignment. When you have strong coaches, the right resources, and a clear commitment to success, those pieces work together. When everyone is not aligned, the culture is poisoned. That alignment is what builds a sustainable, competitive program.

@Randy4OU @klewieblu Yea it will be interesting to see what we look like. I know for a fact that Michigan albeit I think we are better than them. Will be a lot more stout on defense under Kyle Wittingham.

@MVC_CoachBryson @klewieblu 100%…. Maybe the TE ability to see the edge on Outside Zone (which we didn’t run last year), will help this OL get push in the run game. I don’t remember seeing Counter yesterday but if Outside zone is effective it will make the Counter more effective too…

@klewieblu I’m cracking up watching our OL coach on the sideline. 1) his wrist/hands should be tired after 70 minutes of twirling his whistle. I’ve seen him talk to his OL twice the whole first half! No iPad use which is allowed. Almost zero instruction… why isn’t he coaching?

@Randy4OU @klewieblu Oh I watch the line of scrimmage too. I have consistently told people too that O Line play and development is rooted in reps. Not even practice reps like clear game reps more than any other positions. If O Line is off the offense is off.

@MVC_CoachBryson @klewieblu Agreed, BV is a very intense, in your face coach. I’m just saying - watch the sideline and draw your own conclusion. BTW- unlike most OU fans opinion - the poor OL play has lost us many games - much more so than QB play. Fans watch the ball / fb coaches watch the LOS!

@NotAnOKCFan @Thunder_Beard25 Having just played. They are in a bit more of a rhythm. While okc has theoretically been off for 2 weeks. A little rust. But I don’t think OKC losing on the anniversary of the OKC bombing. I could see suns getting game 2. But it’s more like game 3.

@MVC_CoachBryson @klewieblu This was about the time KWilson walked across the field and got in an animated discuss with the 2nd OL while Bill was twirling the whistle? WTF? 1.3 million OL coach letting the analyst doing the coaching? Bad look. Let’s replace the whistle with an iPad to coach up the OL???
