I had to do a search. A typical ambulance costs $100,000-$250,000. A pricy one goes all the way up to $300,000. An armoured ambulance can go all the way up to half a million dollars. So even if they wanted 4 armoured ambulances, that would cost $2 million (less than £1,500,000).

However cruel and callous this attack, why would the government replace the ambulances?
Private companies should have insurance, and the charity has also fundraised hundreds of thousands already to replace them.
NHS ambulances are the domain of the government, not private companies or charities.
Will it come from a separate pot of money or will it be taken away from London ambulance service?
The arson was horrific but I’m genuinely confused by this.
