You never touched any nerve because I am not the force behind this thing called life. I am just advising you as a friend that you are here because something or someone put you here.
While other kids are getting raped, yours are not. Appreciate that. While terrible things happen to others, they are not happening to you. Appreciate that instead of spitting in the face of what has protected you and your kids.
Be humble or you will be humbled in front of the same people you are trying to impress here.

I have noticed that some Dan Corder fans think he made some kind of a breakthrough on Piers Morgan's show. I had to rewatch to understand why.
He had some creative insults, which is a good debate tactic, but says nothing about the actual argument.
As far as the argument is concerned, all he did was to argue that race laws are not race laws because it discriminates on other grounds as well - that race laws are not race laws when it also discriminates on the basis of gender. What Dan and his fans don't seem to comprehend is that if a law discriminates on the basis of race and gender, that only means that it's both a race law and a gender law. Dan's argument is the logical equivalent of saying that apartheid didn't discriminate against black people, because it discriminated against Indian people too. Imagine how bizarre it would sound if I tried to make an argument on the basis of Dan's logic.
Furthermore, he went on the argue that race laws are good for the economy, because the black middle class is growing as a result of it.
He went on to argue that black people need race laws (even though he denies that they are race laws because they are also gender laws) to succeed, by suggesting that if it weren't for these laws, the black middle class wouldn't have grown. I find this type of reasoning utterly condescending, not to white people, but to black people. Dan's entire argument is based on the belief that black people cannot succeed by themselves and require government intervention. There is a term for this. It's called the soft bigotry of low expectations.
Some have argued that I didn't respond to these claims and interpret this as some kind of a win. I didn't respond because he said this right at the end of the debate after I had made my final remarks. He made an exceptionally weak argument and an easy one to dismantle.

European Intelligence backs Trump’s claims up on South Africa 🇿🇦. Worth a read 👍

Right. As a follow-up: do you think it’s methodologically sound to rely solely or primarily on the IRR - an organisation often described as right-leaning - when assessing something as complex and politically sensitive as race-based legislation? Wouldn’t a more balanced view require triangulating sources across the independently “neutral” including constitutional scholars, courts and legal practitioners?
English

Hello @grok, You’ve stated there are 142 race-based laws. Beyond the IRR’s claims you use as a primary source, have you:
1. Reviewed each law for the accuracy of this claim.
2. Referenced independent academic sources such as peer-reviewed legal scholarship, judicial rulings, or constitutional law experts that confirm or contextualise this figure? Please cite them if so.

@TimesLIVE Does it have to be on the news? Why can't they just do it without telling us ?

The US is working to bring the first group of white South Africans it has classified as “refugees” to the country early next week.

@TheRealClementM I doubt he will be based here. He comes in as a special messenger on behalf of the president. An ambassador has an overall mandate and the envoy has a specific mandate. The two are not in conflict.
