HISTORY MADE: Artemis II Mission Specialist Christina Koch delivers a unifying message as the crew begins their journey back to Earth after looping around the far side of the Moon.
"We will explore, we will build, we will build ships. We will visit again. We will construct science outposts. We will drive rovers. We will do radio astronomy. We will found companies. We will bolster industry. We will inspire."
"But ultimately we will always choose Earth. We will always choose each other."

🚨 BREAKING: Incredible moment as Artemis II pilot Victor Glover shares the Gospel mere MOMENTS before reaching the back side of the Moon, losing communication with Earth
"Christ said, in response to what was the greatest command, that it was to love God with all that you are." 🙏🏻
"And he also, being a great teacher, said the second is equal to it, and that is to love your neighbor as yourself."
"And so, as we prepare to go out of radio communication, we're still going to feel your love from Earth, and to all of you down there on earth and around earth, we love you from the moon." ❤️

@kelley93449 @HistorianBlood I agree Chamberlain likely had no brain, but I don't think he was a pedophile that's going too far.
English

Chamberlain had more moral and physical courage than you.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47
.@POTUS: "The U.K. has a long way to go. We don't want another Neville Chamberlain, do we agree?"
English

@HistorianBlood @Michael89529595 Who flew to see Hitler and bend the knee, who armed Britain only after screwing up any chance of dealing with Germany sooner. As far as the other 2, that's just, he was an office. When the war was needed to be declared and get out of the f****** way for churchill
English

@Michael89529595 Who flew to meet with Hitler, who armed Britain 1938-40, who declared war on 3 September 1939 and who ensured Churchill got safe passage into government?
English

@HeyImLucious @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval O k , but you still got confused there since I mentioned both. Nothing in life is a foregone conclusion. If you think in such terms , I suggest growing a little older , get a little wiser , read a little more books on the history of pretty much anything. Good day
English

@MarcusSol4 @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval I don't think there's any value asking if *some battle* was fought at Waterloo. What matters is the outcome (i.e. the fall of Napoleon)
France's enemies were growing stronger while the French empire was contracting. His fall was a foregone conclusion (Russian invasion or not).
English

Always funny to me how Napoleon's legacy is "not undone by Waterloo" but Richard is constantly rememberedas having not taken Jerusalem or "failed" on the third crusade.
Richard didn't even lose a battle!

Ducemango@ktm327xx
@dropthemike400 @MemoryMedieval Lol his legacy was not undone by waterloo, he is still the greatest general in history.
English

@HeyImLucious @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval I'm aware, which is why I stated both just to be clear both the actual battlefield end or is end.
English

@MarcusSol4 @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval My fren, I think you've misread the context.
"Waterloo" was said moreso as a metaphor for Napoleon's ultimate defeat, rather than a purely literal "if <x> then <y>" statement.
English

@HeyImLucious @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval Now We're going into a discussion that literally already has library worth of books written on the subject, but at the end of the day. If He did not invade Russia obviously there would have been no Waterloo battle. Would he have met his Inn on the battlefield? Very less likely
English

@MarcusSol4 @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval I certainly agree that history would've played out differently (kinda self-evident). However: that would result in the complete collapse of the Continental system. Beyond the obvious effects of that- Napoleon's ego, fed by vainglory, would've likely seen him double down in Spain.
English

@HeyImLucious @EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval That doesn't take away from what he's saying if he still had the veteran army and the large army that he had without invading , russia would have been lou , but that is a great , but what if what would have happened instead.
English

@EdgeRunner737 @MemoryMedieval Not true. Napoleon had like a decade or so to shine when he broke the meta on European warfare. But the other kingdoms and empires weren't sitting idly by- they were adapting and growing stronger.
Hell, Napoleon got mogged at Aspern *years* before the Russian invasion.

🚨 BREAKING: President Trump announces the admin is going HARD after whoever LEAKED the fact only ONE airman was saved
"When they did that, all of a sudden, the entire country of Iran, knew that there was a pilot that was somewhere on land that was FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE.
"It became a MUCH more difficult operation. Because a leaker leaked that we have one. We've rescued one. But there's another one out there that we're trying to get."
"We HAVE to find the leaker. We're GOING to find out. It's national security. And the person who did the story will go to JAIL if he doesn't say."
"They put that mission at GREAT RISK, and they put at risk the hundreds of people that went in looking for him, because EVERYONE now knows that we're going in."
English

@Empireaesth overthrow and became a Republic is a good thing.Second, Britain did not beat in Napoleon, was beaten by the coalition after over decades of fighting. Because you guys couldn't live with idea of a European power not having a Monarchy. So yeah, good job being a villains.
English

>Goes bankrupt 5 years after they “won” the American Revolutionary War
>Monarchy overthrown and becomes a republic
>Proceeds to lose to Britain in the Napoleonic Wars
>Never again seriously challenges Britain
>Pax Britannica immediately proceeds the French defeat by Britain

Zoomer@ZoomerHistorian
@Empireaesth They slimed us in the American Revolutionary War bro

@26ers_bp115 A fantasy book written in, like the 1950s loosely, based on him is all to blame.
English

@SceneinCinema Stupid. No way Pacino “almost got fired,” over a disagreement over scene. The non-issue resolved when Coppola did what a great director does: give the actor simple guidance. Coppola handpicked Pacino when the suits wanted Redford. Story is good enough without your interpretation.
English

In The Godfather (1972), Al Pacino almost got fired during the Sicily wedding scene.
Coppola told him to pass candy, speak Italian, then waltz and drive off.
Pacino replied, “I don’t speak Italian… I don’t waltz.”
To which Coppola said “'Well do something, you move with the girl it doesn't matter, just move around...you know I mean double talk because I'm way up with the camera we'll get it later you know don't worry about it...get in the car and take off.'
Pacino then revealed, “I don’t drive.” Coppola got so frustrated that he was like: “Why did I pick him? Why him?”
