@NYGiantsRush @FiresideGiants I am probably in the minority that I am good with the WR room at present. A 4th rd pick with upside is good for me. The Giants are going to be in 12,13,21 and even 22 personnel alot. Means only 2 WRs on the field much of the time. Let's consider that.

@SpartanMike96 I think you are, however I don't think that would have been the case pre-combine.i have been pro-Styles for a while. Seems like the surest thing. Love everything about him, though his tackling is a bit high. I'm fine with Downs though but prefer Styles.

@DDuggan21 Slayton has his worst year and we all want to write him off. I wouldn't be so fast. Slayton isn't a contested catch guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets used in the slot more this season.

I don’t think anything happens with Slayton unless they eat a bunch of money to dump him in a trade and I don’t know why they’d do that. My bold take is he’ll be their No. 2 WR (again). He’s been counted out plenty of times and always finds a way to rise up the depth chart. Think it’s status quo on Kayvon. They’re open to trading him but won’t give him away. Don’t think anyone is willing to give up a Day 2 pick for him at this point.

@TheTruthNYG I agree with that. I just think that MLB is critical to thebrun as well. Alexander maybe more of a rusher than a stuffed. Still needed but definitely need a run stuffing DT.

@MarkBAThompson Mark, Edmunds is a respectable run defender, I was referring to the DL/they need a solid run defender alongside Lawrence/I understand that Alexander was drafted last year, perhaps he can take it up a notch or two, but another DL stuffer would definitely help

This was inevitable and means nothing about future moves. This was just about creating cap space to fit all of the signings they've already made. They were at $12M in cap space without accounting for Likely, Edmunds and Newsome. I'd be very surprised if this is their last move to create cap space this offseason

@DDuggan21 @mcflyguy02 It looks that. I thinknthe draft is deep with WR. You get one there and have the low cost advantage for 4 years. Also I am expecting ILB, CB and TE in the draft because those are strong. Possible may not get all because OL may come into play.

The Calvin Austin signing is the type of bargain that can be found in the second wave of free agency. He's had a 50-50 split between slot and the outside, so he can line up wide when the Giants want to bring Malik Nabers into the slot.
