Putin meets with Turkey’s foreign minister The Russian dictator said relations between Moscow and Ankara continue to develop “on an upward trajectory” despite existing difficulties. Trying to win over Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Putin showered praise on Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and described ties between the two countries as friendly. “Please convey my very best wishes to him. We are always glad to see him in our country,” Putin said, referring to the Turkish president.

Extraordinary. Among the many claims that Al Gore got wrong or grossly overstated were: (1) An imminent 20-foot sea level rise (2) The disappearance of snow on Mount Kilimanjaro (3) Polar bears drowning in "significant numbers" (4) Hurricane Katrina was a direct result of warming (5) An influx of fresh meltwater from Greenland could completely halt the Gulf Stream, potentially plunging Northern Europe into a sudden ice age (6) The drying of Lake Chad was entirely due to global warming (7) Rising carbon dioxide levels historically directly caused the Earth's temperature to rise in a cause-and-effect relationship (8) Glacier National Park would lose all (or nearly all) its glaciers soon (9) Arctic summer sea ice could disappear very soon (10) Low-lying Pacific atolls/islands were currently being inundated now, causing evacuations due to warming (11) Coral reefs facing imminent widespread destruction primarily from warming (12) Increased frequency and severity of floods, wildfires, tornadoes, or general extreme weather directly are tied to warming (13) Himalayan glaciers melting rapidly and will soon lead to depletion of water supplies

The scientists have been right about climate change all along, says former Vice President Al Gore on the 20th anniversary of the release of "An Inconvenient Truth," the Oscar-winning documentary about Gore's campaign to educate people about climate change. abcnews.link/n4Ndoqx

NO PENALTY GIVEN! After a VAR check, it was determined this is not a penalty kick for France. Do you agree? 🤔 #FIFAWorldCup

At least we aren't Spain. No shame in a draw against Japan, even though we should have done better.

Absolutely mediocre game from the Dutch. Why did our coach pull all of our attackers when they were gaining steam. I'm happy Koeman brought us out of the dark ages in his first stint as coach, but he's coached poorly since returning.

@RiseOfAlberta Looking at the sample size you have a margin of error of 7.5%. Its also an online panel of a online commentator. It's a terrible poll.

🚨BREAKING: A new independent national poll shows Alberta independence support has surged to 40.9%. The sample was smaller, but unlike the major polling firms, this wasn’t another narrative-driven poll designed to demoralize the movement.

@TouchmineX First, that's obviously false. Second, if a knockout match ends in a PSA it's a draw for statistical purposes and you can still have 0 trophies.

🚨 Fox Sports showed a graphic during the match vs Paraguay claiming the United States have 9 wins, 8 draws, and 0 losses in World Cup history. If they're supposedly undefeated at the World Cup, how exactly do they still have 0 World Cup trophies? 🤔🏆

Do you think the Star Wars Sequel trilogy will eventually receive the same kind of love and reappraisal as the prequels did many years after their release?

@ReelCommonSense @Arteymas_ I remember watching that live. As a hardcore Dutch fan I was more upset that volley wasn't goal of the tournament than I was that it was scored against us.

If you think about removing your wisdom teeth, think twice Many dentists push routine extraction, but there is research and strong arguments for keeping them when possible 1. Improved chewing function. • Wisdom teeth act as extra molars for grinding and breaking down food 2. Maintaining jawbone structure and density. • Teeth stimulate jawbone through chewing • Keeping them helps prevent bone loss/resorption in the back of the jaw over time • This supports better long-term jaw stability and helps with TMJ function 3. They are back-up teeth. • Strong, durable teeth can serve you as 'spares' if you lose other molars 4. Proper chewing supports overall metabolism, facial/jaw development and even brain function (via better mastication and nerve stimulation) • Ray Peat referenced animal studies where molar removal negatively affected learning and lead to hippocampal neurogenesis 5. Risks • After extraction, up to 90% of wisdom teeth sites can develop cavitations which are hidden areas of dead/nectrotic jaw bone that trap bacteria and toxins. These are often missed on regular X-rays and are linked to inflammation, fatigue, auto-immune issues etc. Palatal expansion is the most effective for creating more space for your wisdom teeth btw Other options are orthodontic treatments to create space, tongue posture (mewing etc) and metabolic nutrition, chewing mastic gum, hard foods, raw meat Our ancestors did not need to have them removed. Modern jaws are often smaller due to diet, which is why problems arise more frequently now Removal should be the last resort, not the default

Again, I disagree. The three OT films all had different directors and they are generally loved by everyone. Lucas guided the story and wrote the scripts himself for the OT (didn't receiving a writing credit for Empire though). What the ST lacked was someone that brought a unified vision.

@MarkFiselier @Clint_Davey1 Agree, this trilogy needed the same director for all 3 movies. Either of them, but just one of them and it would've at least been 1 smooth story

By far the dumbest decision in the sequels was to introduce this new big bad guy - Snoke - and then kill him off with absolutely zero explanation of who he is or why he's important. And then re-introduce the same big bad guy from the original trilogy because they ran out of ideas.

The Last Jedi should have revealed that Snoke was a super powerful dark side entity called from beyond the galaxy by the death of Palapatine and Vader. Luke fought him and lost. Snoke turns Ben. He went back to the original Jedi temple to figure out how to win.
