@MetamateDaz The tax route is very innefficient. Muxh better direct to charity like this. More helpful value from every dollar to charity than every dollar taxed.

MacKenzie Scott divorced Jeff Bezos and got $36 billion in the divorce. She has donated $26 billion to charity since then. She’s now worth $42 billion, six billion MORE than when she started TAX THE BILLIONAIRES. THEY’LL BE FINE.

@Fish_andChipper @oqayowoqwq Someone else pointed this out to me as well. This could change my vote as they would essentially be random, I would lean blue. However, if only able minded people are voting, Red is the only choice.

I do know what murder means, it means to unlawfully and unjustifiably kill someone. Not risking your own life for someone else is never murder, even in real world cases where you obviously should. ie, you see a baby in a burning building that you are reasonably sure you can get to and get out. I would and think you should, but still not actually murder if you don't. Certainly not murder in the case that the person in the building is an abled body adult who can simply walk out.

@Viathanlol @oqayowoqwq Thank you, that is logical point that could change my vote. If that is the case, and I am sure that everyone fully understands that fact, then I would lean blue. My logic of red though holds if everyone voting has the capcity for rational thought.

@MathensFC @lunya105 Nobody dies with blue, people die with red, it’s that simple, anything else is needless rationalization for a choice you know is wrong.

Am I missing something here?? It’s easier to get >50% Blue than 100% Red Even 1% is 80 million people dead if 99% clicked red. So if the results were switched, that’s 3.5 billion people dead. Society would be in shambles and your life/the world would change drastically :(
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@Binxito @lunya105 You do not how other people will vote. In your scenario. If 49.9% choose to risk their lives for people who can save them themselves, 49.9% of people will die. That same 49.9% could have pressed red and lived.

@oqayowoqwq No harm is cause if you just pick red. Everyone can do the same. As I have said repeatedly, very different question if some are forced to pick blue. Now it is moral to save them as they can't save themselves.

@MathensFC The fact is, choosing Red is what causes the unnecessary harm and risk in the first place that is exactly why most choose Blue and nothing happens your welcome

But the only people dying chose to. You still have not addressed my concession if the question was complicated by x amount of forced blue votes. Then empathy plays in because those people would be condemmed to death. Forget this scenario for a second. There is an abled body standing on a bridge. They have no limitations and ca move freely. The bridge is going to collapse in 30 seconds. It would take them 14 seconds to run off the bridge to where you are. They choose to stay put, demanding to be carries off. Do you run onto the bridge and carry them off, you may or may not make it back. The wording is different, the scale is different, but underneath everything that question is at its core the same logic. What would you do?

@MathensFC @lunya105 I would risk my life if my choice means saving everyone, if you are happy to save yourself at the potential risk of ANYone dieing you are a coward.

Would you risk your life to save someone who can simply save themselves by choosing to live at no risk to anyone? That is what it boils down to. Not centred around me everyone lives in my scenario, only those that choose death die. Now lets say that 30% of the population was forced to pick Blue. I would vote blue then because otherwise I would be voting to kill that 30%. Not the case here, I am voting to kill 0%.

@MathensFC "the only way to survive is to murder the other guy who just wants everyone to live" excellent argument and thats why Red loses.

As I said, not when everyone is allowed to pick red. If some were forced to pick blue then yes, Red would be condemming them to death. Walk through the scenarios: -you pick blue, you only live if 50% pick blue -you pick red, you live Everyone has that same choice. Red is live, blue is live if. Any rational person given that question would pick Red. There is no reason to play Russian Roulette with you life.

i don’t understand why anybody would choose the red button. asking genuinely, if you chose it - why? if 50%+ choose blue, everyone lives. if less than 50% choose red, only those who chose red live. why are you willing to sacrifice half of those people?

Red is the only answer. In this version of the question everyone gets a vote. The only way an individual can guarantee their survival is Red, there is no way to die if you pick Red. Everyone has the option to pick red, so it is their own choice to die if they don't. A more interesting/challenging version would have something like a random 10% of the population is auto selected to blue with no free will choice.

@Wambulogy Yes, but the blue side has potential draw backs. There is no drawback to the red side. In this version everyone can just red. Blue is the suicide button. Different question if a random group is forced to pick blue, now you might have an argument you are killing others with red.

I keep seeing folks being like "If EVERYONE picks Red, then everyone survives." But like.. the same is true for everyone picking Blue, right? The majority picking blue prevents ANY death.
