Would I enjoy this movie even if I didn't grow up with the cartoon and don't know much about it?

@kevinbolk The movie is odd. It has a Flash Gordon and James Gunn version of Superman feel to it. It mocks itself too much yet it gets the tone and outfits of He-Man spot on. It is both the best and worst version of it at the same time.

I seriously don’t understand what’s going on with this movie. As I unfortunately predicted, it’s not doing well at the box office and yet the PREORDER for the 4K Blu-ray is the #1 seller in movies & TV on Amazon, both critics and audience reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and the merchandise is selling out everywhere. I kind of feel like I’m being gaslit here, to be honest.
