⚠️🚨FRISCO, PAY ATTENTION. The Collin County Republican establishment is using lawyers, a judge, and party money to stop grassroots Republicans from voting. A political fight inside the Collin County Republican Party has now spilled into a courtroom. At the center of the dispute was a proposed vote by precint chairs of the Collin County GOP to endorse Rod Vilhauer in the June Frisco mayoral runoff against opponent Mark Hill. But Mark Hill is not just another candidate. He is the law partner of Collin County GOP Chairman Byron Henry. Before the controversy erupted, Henry had publicly, and in writing, endorsed Hill while identifying himself as the Chairman of the Collin County Republican Party. Many grassroots Republicans believed that created the appearance of an official party endorsement despite the Executive Committee never voting on the issue. That is what ultimately led precinct chairs to seek a vote. The controversy began during the May 4 Executive Committee meeting. A precinct Chair made a motion to endorse Vilhauer now that the race had narrowed to a runoff. Several precinct chairs believed the Executive Committee should have the opportunity to vote on the endorsement. According to meeting records and attendees, Chairman Byron Henry ruled the motion out of order, stating that endorsements must follow the Candidate Committee’s procedures as outlined in the Standing Rules.  However, he himself ordered a special meeting in Dec 2026 to consider endorsement in the Frisco Special election--without the Candidate Committee’s involvement or an official Candidate Committee Report. In the Previous month, he also placed endorsement of the Plano Special Election on the agenda without the Candidate Committee’s involvement or report.  CCGOP Standing Rules address the way to suspend the rules in regards to a Standing Committee’s assigned duties: “Article VI—Standing Committee members serve from the time of appointment or election until the next organizational meeting. Standing Committees shall be governed as standing committees under Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR) § 50, as modified by these Standing Rules. The duties and responsibilities assigned to Standing Committees by these Standing Rules may not be varied or avoided except by a vote to suspend the rules in accordance with RONR § 25.”   When the CCGOP Chair   ruled the motion to suspend the rules out of order in order to take a vote on the Frisco Runoff endorsement, he further stated that 10 days notice was not given to the body.  But according to CCGOP Bylaws and rules, the only thing that requires 10 days notice for business at a duly called EC meeting is to AMEND the Standing Rules or Bylaws.  Note that the Precinct Chair requested to suspend the rules, not to AMEND them. The Precinct Chair then motioned to appeal the ruling of the Chair, according to Roberts Rules of Order #s 6:17 (2), (pictured), as well as 24:1, which REQUIRES the Chair to put the appeal to a vote of the body. The CCGOP Chair then refused an appeal of the decision of the chair, ruling the appeal out of order!  The entire purpose of Robert’s Rules of Order is to protect the rights of every individual member of the body, but Henry denied the chairs of their rights. The body never got a chance to vote on Rod Vilhauer’s endorsement. The Chair prevented the motion from ever coming to the floor. And many precinct chairs left believing they had been denied the opportunity to make the decision themselves. The dispute only grew from there. Before adjournment, Henry announced that the scheduled June 1 Executive Committee meeting would likely be moved to June 22. The word used was “likely.” No vote was taken by the Executive Committee to cancel the June 1 meeting and move it to June 22. No formal approval was obtained from the body. The bylaws state that regular meetings shall occur as scheduled by the Executive Committee.

Now that India has flooded the world with FFMGs (Fake Foreign Medical Grads) we must rely on other means to exclude impostor doctors. The US has two main defenses against impostors: 1. US doctors must complete a supervised US residency. Unfortunately, this residency requirement has been eliminated in 19 states, including mine. 2. Our second and final safeguard is the licensing exam. Almost all US doctors must eventually pass the three parts of the USMLE (US Medical Licensing Exam.) Unfortunately, exam fraud is as simple as hiring a ringer to take the test for you (he needs to look vaguely like the picture on your driver's license) and avoiding the test centers that check fingerprints. If this sounds like a conspiracy theory, well, it already happened, and you will never guess where. In 2024, hundreds of scores were invalidated due to leaked questions in Nepal (an Indian suburb) and to anomalous high scores at international centers in India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Jordan. The statistically-unlikely scores were eventually blamed on early exam takers sharing the questions in WhatsApp groups. In other news, you can take the first 2 parts of the US medical licensing exam in India. Then you can start practicing medicine in the USA. Your Indian doctor might be a resident who purchased his Indian medical diploma then purchased the US licensing exam questions and took the test in India. 🍷🇮🇹 We came for the wine. We stayed for the wine. Last night we hosted an Italian Wine Dinner and honestly, things got out of hand in the best possible way. 😂 It started innocently enough — a charcuterie board (because we're classy) and a Burrata Salad drizzled with balsamic (because we're FANCY). Then came the Tuscan Shrimp & Beans and a Bolognese so good it should be illegal. 🦐🍝 And the wines... oh, the wines. We cracked open a Lambrusco, Brunello di Montalcino, a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, Flanghina, Fanti, multiple Vermentinos, a Napa Chardonnay — basically we raided all of Italy and part of California. 🇮🇹🍾 By the time the Key Lime Parfait arrived, nobody could remember how many bottles were on the table. The corks on the counter told the whole story. 🫢 No Italians were harmed in the making of this dinner. Our livers, however, have filed a formal complaint. 😅
