Early finish from work so happily it's straight into St Michel for food and wine. It's almost a year since my first Paris shift when I lost my dad - an extraordinary coincidence that few knew about. I'll sit and drink to him this evening - he'd have loved the other chair.

Hi @MikeCrolla i don't know the name of the superb French commentator today, who unusually also doubled up as the raceday presenter, but thought he did a superb commentary on the cross country chase in particular. Hope he's one of the top course commentators over here.

Well that was the most enjoyable Flat racegoing experience I've had for ages! A truly lovely afternoon at @fgchantilly just rambling around with the horses in the most beautiful of settings. NH is always my favourite, but if all Flat racegoing was like this, that could change!!
