We're gonna find out in a year or so that something really did happen to this show. Was episode 9 actually in the plan from the start? If TADC had ended on episode 8 it would've been an all-timer series that people would still be talking about for years.

@Semiogogue Nukes require regular maintenance on a regular schedule. They'd need the infrastructure and manning to keep them operational along with the activation system associated. This would need to be done without anyone noticing. In short, no.

A late friend of mine said he had no doubt that Israel long ago placed nukes in a few US cities. That way if they ever wanted to make a splash they just had to press a button. I asked how he knew this. He said, "I don't, but that's what I would've done if I were them." The idea that nukes could've been placed long ago before anyone was particularly concerned about it, or vigilant about it, is one I now can't stop thinking about.

Before Elden Ring's DLC there was an entire cottage industry around combing through the details of every single piece of art and dialogue in the game. The DLC managed to kill that by destroying the illusion that anything was actually foreshadowed or thought-out. Now, nobody cares about the story of the game. To this day I have never seen anyone point out details from the base game that even hinted at what we got with SotE. Reality is, man, the issue is that it straight-up damaged the two best episodes of the show. Caine's arc being completely undone in a 5 minute aurafarming sequence followed by a therapy session managed to kill everything that made the series good, which is impressive in a certain way.

Behind the scenes for this too. It's funny to me how I tend to do this type of this after I have a big demoralizing moment about AI.

After watching the TADC finale I'm amazed how my final reaction is just "That's it?" Like, after ALL the shitflinging we got from the leaks. After ALL the hype of releasing it in theatres and making us wait that long. That's it?

I'm 26. All I ever hear is "You're young, You'll see." I see today. I see hundreds of humans who never thought for themselves. Who have sucked down a concoction they never wanted to drink. Who blame the world and lack agency and point fingers and are so down the rabbit hole that this mindset is second nature. Not even malicious. Simply buying an idea being sold by other doomer carrot danglers. I see hundreds of humans who blame genetics and have optimized for the wrong thing and are now sad complaining cave hobbits. You're right, I do see. I see hundreds of humans showing me exactly what I refuse to become. You need to adopt this mindset now. Today. Believe in it with every fiber of your being. Refuse to pretend that you can't mold the world. That you can't live the life you want or spend your days doing what you enjoy. Refuse it. Never become the kind of person who looks down on youth and outwardly projects your insecurities and regrets so as to discourage them from ever trying to pull the sword from the stone themselves.

and to make sure I'm not misunderstood, I'm being genuine. I expect Deltarune's ending to be pretty much perfect, but with it being a game that will take 10 years to actually finish after drumming up the most rabid theorizer base possible, it's gonna suck watching them turn on it

Every couple years I go through a little bit where I go back through a bunch of early brony stuff and I'm always blown away by the sheer amount of talent that fanbase had. There was not a single artistic medium that wasn't being explored there. Modern fandoms can't compete at all
