The opening plenary of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators’ Annual Conference—“Rebuilding the American Dream”—was inspiring! For the first time in history there are 7 Black statehouse speakers and I’m proud one is our very own, Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch! 🙌🏾
