@Gatlinsports @BeyondtheMnstr I see the appeal of Durbin. You just can’t have him in a lineup when you’re also playing (essentially) a rookie SS and a group of 2B without any pop.

@ByAndrewParker Seems like the return to his college throwing motion has worked well. I think the same thing happened with Tanner Houck where they tried to change him and it didn’t work so they just let him throw across his body.

The removal of high schoolers from the draft would be very interesting and could signal a further cutting of low-minor league baseball as college baseball would play that role - except maybe for international players.

Feels like some of the people mad about Blaze Jordan looking good in MLB are the same who call the Red Sox prospect-huggers who don’t make win-now moves.
We all want every trade to be a fleece job but that’s not reality and you can’t have it both ways.

The Sox should talk about Chapman. Still a really good player and wouldn’t undercut the pitching and defense approach while adding to the offense. Then move Durbin to 2B (if he earns the playing time)
