BREAKING: A school crossing guard in Darby Borough, Pennsylvania is recovering after being attacked while working near a school intersection. According to the Darby Borough Police Department, the assault happened around 3 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South 6th and Walnut streets as the crossing guard was helping children cross the street after getting off a school bus. Police said a driver pulled over, got out of his vehicle, and punched the guard in the face, causing her to lose consciousness. The crossing guard was transported to a hospital with facial injuries but is expected to recover. Investigators say they are working to identify the suspect and are hoping to make an arrest soon.
