BREAKING 🚨 Crypto Game Ember Sword just announced it’s shutting down, citing funding challenges and broader market difficulties. In 2024, Ember Sword raised more than~$7M in funding and launched its token ($EMBER) on June 13, 2024. They sold over 40,000 virtual land NFTs, gathering pledges worth ~$203M from around 35,000 users with more than $11M in land sales. Despite strong early traction, including a major NFT launch (Origins Collection) and initial early access gameplay in December 2024, the project recently announced they’re shutting down due to funding issues and broader challenges in Web3 gaming. As of now: • No further game development or support. • Servers and Discord officially offline with no announcements on X and public sites. • Community left without ongoing updates or communication. Another tough reminder of the significant risks and uncertainties still facing crypto gaming projects.
