We were surprised to find that nat gas price level did not drive coal retirement; but we did find (weak) support that decreased variability in nat gas prices contributed to accelerated coal retirement.

@daveregrets .@daveregrets; if you are referring to the comment(s) in the piece (and paper) stating that Beyond Coal leveraged economic arguments, that is well-documented, but it does not undermine the environmental basis for their effort. When you can appeal to both, you build a bigger tent.

@DiamondKim71 The House votes (not Congress, just the House) only if no candidate has a majority of electors. Biden has a majority, even if the 18 states that support the suit withhold electors. If they did that, Biden would simply win with 305 instead of 306 (b/c he’d lose his NE elector).
