Overamped

I get an email every week or so from someone either struggling to get @OverampedApp working or to check if it's working. I'm working on a small AMP page that Overamped can redirect and interacts with the page to detect that the extension is correctly setup.

Overamped 1.1.0 has been submitted to the App Store 🎉 It includes: - An Events screen to view a chronological list of events - An option to send a notification when redirecting - A simplified permissions model - A fix for Google Images links showing in the Google AMP popover

Another quick review 😊 1.0.2 is now available!

Overamped 1.0.2 has been submitted for review and will hopefully be released in the next couple of days. This is another smaller build that contains a fix for Google image search results. More features are in the works and will be released as part of a 1.1.0 update.

That’s the plan! A 1.0.1 update with small bug fixes is being submitted soon and I have some more features planned for future versions.

Overamped 1.0.1 has been submitted for review 📝 It has some bug fixes and a link to the source code (github.com/JosephDuffy/Ov…). Hopefully it’ll be available soon! Now that I’ve made builds logs public I will be moving on to working on new features.

@OverampedApp Nah, I still don’t get it lol Anyway, I also wanted to confirm if I understand this correctly: “AMP search results found” shows how many AMP links were there in the Google search whereas “Links redirected” shows how many of those links I clicked on?

@NilMustafi This is a consequence of injecting only the required scripts for each domain (rather than a single script that tries to detect what kind of page it’s running on). Overamped will mostly work with only access to Google/Yandex/Yahoo for those that feel that’s a worthy trade off.

@OverampedApp That’s awesome! I look forward to them. I bought the app. The app doesn’t take up much space, is smooth and most importantly, has worked great so far. However, I gotta ask, instead of all those domains in Overamped permissions page, why not just have “All websites”?

No, all features (currently and future) will always be available after the initial purchase.

The source code for Overamped has been released on GitHub 🎉 github.com/JosephDuffy/Ov… Not only can you audit the code yourself, but you can also check out some (terrible) SwiftUI, TypeScript, and Svelte!

@phatw33b @_ImJonas_ @ChristianSelig @androolloyd @MWVartan @wongmjane Yandex has their own thing (Yandex Turbo) and Yahoo! JAPAN supports AMP (I don’t think any other regions of Yahoo! do though). Both are supported by Overamped 😊
