When do #Altcoins become a better asset to buy than #Bitcoin? This is usually the case when nobody expects it. Quite frequently, if you look at a historical perspective, the best period to buy #Altcoins is after the Bitcoin ATH. That would mean that there's such a large confidence in the markets through which people feel safe enough to invest in altcoins, but is that actually the best period? No! The best period is 8-10 months prior to the $BTC halving. The period in which people have the lowest amount of confidence that their positions will continue to do well as we're in the middle of the unwind of 'Time Capitulation'. #Bitcoin pairs are a key leader for this. The USD value could still be falling down, according to a correction of Bitcoin, but it doesn't have to fall as hard as Bitcoin does -> the shift in the markets. This means that $BTC pairs are often a key leader and in that regard, show interest on the markets and start to rally when nobody expects it. $ETH / $BTC made it's cycle low in September '19. It also bottomed in October '15. Both were exactly 252 days before the #Bitcoin halving. After this time, the bull started on #Altcoins. In 2020 we've had a #DeFi summer with $LINK performing massively. Most definitely it doesn't feel like we'll be having some strength on #Altcoins, but more often than not history repeats itself. It also repeats despite any variables in the markets. Right now it's the recession fears (but how often did we get one if everyone is expecting it?), I'm sure we'd have the same in 2015 and 2019 and I'm also sure we'll be having narratives to push markets forward. End of the morale: sit tight if you hold bags. Buy #Altcoins if you haven't and hold for 2 years.
