@SamuelHBlack My experience echoes yours exactly and I think when Madison, WI isn't firing paper drafts anymore, that is really telling. The last draft we did in La Crosse, my buddy and I were the only 2/8 who knew what draft even was.

I’m comfortable spending money on cards. I own almost every card I’d want to play in old school, premodern, and cEDH. The rate of change is prohibitive to *me* entering standard. I wouldn’t play a ton of events, so I’d basically need to buy an entire new deck every event. Pass.

Standard isn’t built for paper play anymore — it’s built for Arena. That’s why 6–7 sets a year is the norm. Paper reality? Commander runs the room. Most LGSs push it because that’s what fires. Not even a Commander guy, but it’s tough to justify $20–$25 drafts weekly when they were $10–$15 a decade ago.

The hardest sell for standard being one of the best formats its ever been is that new cards come out way too often. It is near impossible to keep up with. Getting cards is costly and difficult. They will never fix this though because more sets equals more $.

This happens on stream like five times an event, and they turn it into a spectacle instead of acknowledging a fatal flaw within the game.

@PokeDuelsTikTok It’s only relevant vs Dengo players who know the match up. The match up is a game of chicken of who goes to a 2 prize board state 1st. This card forces the oppenents to go into that which will win the match up. PPP does a similar effect but can only do a 1 KO vs this can KO 2

i still don't understand Gholdengo's usage of this card... seems very situational and could be something else

@MikeMonday03 @cheeseheadtv How can MLF be responsible for Special teams not figuring shit out. Both losses to the bears have been strictly due to special teams. Flubbed onside kick 3 missed kicks. It never ends. I don’t care what it cost. Spend every last cent on a special teams coach.
