@kerckhove_ts I think I bombed an interview by saying I was the type of guy to start writing code ASAP, then refine it along with the requirements. Managers just don't understand that it can be the responsible way to do it, as long as your code stays flexible.

I keep hearing that developers write code too early in the whole "getting things done" process but my experience says the exact opposite. The only real way I've found to figure out requirements IS to start writing code and see what I bump into.

@expnandbanana @crayonfps Just because something's in the game doesn't mean it should be simplified and easy. The shop is not simple or easy, and that's what makes it interesting.

@crayonfps Valve needs to bite the bullet and decide if they want edgeboosting to be a thing in the game or not. If you want to keep it, simplify the mechanics for casuals and make it more consistent/accessible to perform. If not, scrap the tech entirely and be done with it.
