day 188 in ecom. i caved and bought the $4 monthly subscription so that i can write longer posts. and mostly because last night some BS happened to me & i wanna vent. i recently switched suppliers about 2 weeks ago (not gonna name drop). & yesterday i got emails from multiple customers saying that they received a completely different item than what they ordered. my new supplier has fulfilled 154 orders so far for me, so i was worried that 154 customers would be pissed/charging back. genuinely felt the most stress of my ecom journey so far last night. after reaching out to my supplier they looked into it and informed me this morning that 36 orders were messed up. so i emailed all 36 customers explaining what happened, and i now hope that they don’t charge back. it’s one thing to deal with chargebacks or ad account restrictions, or any other inevitable ecom happenings that everyone goes through at some point, but when another human being’s carelessness and stupidity messes with your business, that’s another level of anger. flat out unbelievable. these mfs really sent my customers a banana when they ordered an orange. that’s how bad it was
