JUST IN: @RonDeSantis’s Presidential Campaign has just been slapped with a VIOLATION letter from the Federal Elections Commission in a 49 page letter detailing 46 pages of what the @fec is calling “Apparent excessive, prohibited and impermissible contributions” that have been made to @RonDeSantis’s campaign for President. The @FEC is giving DeSantis’s campaign until 9/11/23 to respond with documentation and a course correction, or else DeSantis’s campaign could face legal and financial penalties for not being in compliance with Federal campaign finance laws. FEC violations, if found to be severe enough, are punishable by jail time. According to the letter, @TeamDeSantis’s first FEC report that was filed in July is not in compliance with the law. The letter was sent and signed by Michael Dobi, the Senior Campaign Finance and Reviewing Analyst at the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
