I expected destiny to far surpass marathon's player counts once the final update hit, but seeing it beat out marathon BEFORE that while marathon just had its brand new season AND is free to play for the week is genuinely shocking to me Truly what do you do if you are marathon

Content creators can be disingenuous when framing anything. Before the end of service announcement, we were seeing under 10k every day regularly, none of the CCs were playing D2, they doomposted about it, now they're shocked at the surge before the final update?

I think the #WeWantDestiny3 movement is less about D3 specifically, and more about the continuation of the Destiny IP, with which D3 makes the most sense. It’s about rallying the community together to show Sony there is both demand and loyalty backing Destiny’s future.
