SMU has landed Tulane transfer Rowan Brumbaugh, he told @thefieldof68. The 6-4 junior averaged 19.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game and shot 36% from 3 this past season. Brumbaugh redshirted his freshman season at Texas, spent his second year at Georgetown and has been at Tulane the past two years.

BREAKING: South Florida head coach Bryan Hodgson has turned down the Syracuse job, source told @thefieldof68. It’s likely that Hodgson will decide between Providence and staying with the Bulls - who have put together a lucrative financial package similar to what Josh Schertz received at Saint Louis in an attempt to get him to stay in Tampa.

@Cuse_MBB (and the @BIGEASTMBB), for that matter, will never be the same. It was a golden era of college basketball. But if you have a coach who builds a top 15 team there, don’t tell me there won’t be 30,000 fans in the Dome on a Saturday night when @DukeMBB comes to town. They have to think big. @theACC
