@PhillyIsAmazing @NUCLRGOLF Odd reply. Nothing to do with money or my game, I just wouldn't use that bag. It's gaudy, has those big dates of Masters wins and says "Tigrus Slamus" on it. If it cost $100 or $10,000, if I shot 65 or 85, I'd feel silly carrying it. You'd want to use that bag?

@NUCLRGOLF "Tigrus Slamus?" Seems like an April's Fools joke someone forgot to post. Can't imagine buying that bag or what I'd do with it, would be embarrassing to use it on a golf course.

@SHistorians Tiger is the reason the PGA players didn’t all go to LIV. You should be thanking the guy instead of kicking him while he’s down. What a loser.

Nick Faldo’s judgement on Tiger Woods: Quotes from the Telegram article by James Corrigan. Sir Nick Faldo: “Tiger Woods should not be welcomed back with open arms.” The Englishman also believes that the 15-time major-winner should not be “welcomed back [to the sport] with open arms”. Faldo is perturbed by the manner in which golf’s authorities responded – Augusta National sent out a similarly fawning statement after revealing Woods had withdrawn from next week’s Masters. The Englishman is concerned that, as in his previous scandals, the incident will ultimately be brushed under the carpet. The Tour will look after him, as they always have done. But then you’ve got Jack [Nicklaus] saying it has tarnished the entire sport. There has to be some accountability. Forget about golf. We are not meant to be on the streets with two pills in our pocket.” Faldo believes there should also be some sort of recrimination from within the sport. “Our sport is based on discipline. You rule yourself, you police yourself. I would have thought the PGA Tour – behind closed doors – must be very disappointed that they pay Tiger tens of millions to be on the course and off the course with this business role he has got [as chairman of the player-driven Future Competitions Committee]. “He has only finished nine tournaments in the last five years, yet they feel he is the future on the golf course and the future in the decision-making and they must say… ‘oh boy, what do we get out of that?’ In the normal walk of life, there would be some accountability.”

In many ways I feel sorry for Tiger Woods. Then many I don’t. He’s not a great person. It’s pretty documented. He was an insanely gifted golfer. Maybe the most gifted we’ve ever seen. He lived his life in private by design as much as he could. That sheltered him. He’s a socially awkward human. He doesn’t like being out there as an athlete like others. The shutting off from society that he does really isolates himself as well. His Father dying was his straw. He never came back. He knows he has a problem. He can’t not know that. He’s without doubt in daily pain. Hurting chronically has to be psychologically taxing. I pray I’m never there. He refuses to turn to anybody for help. Likely to maintain his privacy. The ones around him fear losing their job/relationship if they dare say anything to him. See Charles Barkley and Jordan and others in 2009. He completely alienated his best buds to go into isolation and deal with his stuff internally. You can only internalize problems for so long. He’s done it 2 decades maybe his whole life. It’s just wild that a man with the resources he has continues to find himself in these positions and circumstances. It’s truly sad one of the most iconic human beings to ever entertain the masses is where he is with his life. While it’s easy to take shots and he’s earned them. It’s his fault. I just can’t bring myself to do it. He’s got kids. They love him and they are not sheltered from their father’s problems. I’m really really sad for the guy. I’m really sad as a dad for his kids.

First domino should be to take Tiger’s name off LA Open Genisis…not a good look. Next, the Hero. As a former player myself, as well as broadcaster, I couldn’t even show my face again. His kids will suffer as well, shameful and selfish.

@BBFORTRUMP0822 @chrisjdozier @PGATUOR He’s an entertainer. People pay good money to see entertainment. No one cares that you don’t approve of him being back at work to get ready to “potentially” entertain as a pro athlete.

@chrisjdozier @PGATUOR I really don't give a flying F what he does! But applauding him for getting right back up on the horse again, as though it's just another day in the life of Tiger Woods is RIDICULOUS! The golf course is Tiger's escape from reality! it's time he face it head on!

I’ve read every book on Tiger Woods and they all tell the same story. Pissed away everything because of macho fantasies and an insane infatuation with military training. He torpedoed his thirties, put unnecessary stress on his body and cost himself Jack’s record. Probably developed a drug problem too. Incredibly sad and frustrating.
