I have said it for years and I’ll say it again: stop saying things are “sexually and racially charged.” The things Donald Trump says are sexist and racist, full stop. I’m aware that @nytimes doesn’t follow AP style, but AP has also come to the same conclusion about “charged.”

As professors, one of the unwritten parts of the job is to protect our students in any way we can. It is shocking in this video how @CarolineFohlin was treated for doing just that in what appears to be the least threatening way possible.

@morgantencza I am so sorry you had to experience that. I have heard from many colleagues in the industry that they have had these kinds of comments directed at them and it’s never OK.

Last week at a game, an older male security guard nodded at my lens and said “you like them big, eh?” and winked at me. I was so unbelievably uncomfortable but felt forced to laugh it off. No one should have to deal with this behavior while doing their job. It’s just gross.
