@Darren_Mooney Lecter would be much more likely to kill Trump (or try to) than to vote for him. The number one thing he can’t abide is rudeness.

Can we just pause and acknowledge the inherent absurdity of Hannibal Lecter voting at all (but especially for Trump)? I mean, I know they’re friends and all, but still.

@GemOfAmara On the other hand he’s motivated almost purely by grievance and insecurity about his masculinity; prime Trump Voter territory. I think he probably would vote for Harris, but mainly because Walter Jr. would be a big Resist Lib and he genuinely cares what his son thinks of him.

2020 was a weird year because you actually could prognosticate from early voting results, at least to a certain extent, because the parties sorted themselves into mail voters/eday voters. This will probably never be the case again.

However, if (as I think seems likely) Walter Jr. turned into a big time Resist Lib, that could tip the scales the other way, because he does actually care what his son thinks of him.

On the other other hand Trump is just *so* stupid. Exactly the kind of stupidity Walt hates. There’s a good chance Walt would wind up as one of those anti-anti-Trump guys who profess to hate him but somehow argue themselves into voting for him.

There’s a zero percent chance of Hannibal Lecter voting for Trump. The two things Hannibal hates most in the world are rudeness and stupidity. He’d be more likely to try and kill Trump just to get his wretched face off the television.

Go Fund Me is an interesting case because usually when a large part of your business model is facilitating fraud that attracts *some* regulatory attention eventually.

@Darren_Mooney And also because the title. My god, that’s a terrible title. It gets eclipsed by the sheer narmyness of The Battle Of Ranskoor av Kolos, an episode that does not actually contain a battle, but it really shows off Chibnall’s tin ear for naming.

@Darren_Mooney It’s not very good, but I would consider it one of the better episodes of the series, if only because it’s one of the few where the Doctor does something to actively remedy the situation. I think its negative reception is because it aired on the week the honeymoon ran out.

“The Tsuranga Conundrum” is the point at which the Chibnall era “settles in”, for lack of a better phrase. “The fam” are only in the TARDIS at the end of the second episode. “Rosa” is “a very special episode.” “Arachnids” is Davies cosplay. This is the Chibnall era’s baseline.
