Really good work tonight by our colleagues from Teignmouth Response. They found two people on Dartmoor who had become disorientated in the dark and guided them to the nearest road where they were met by our friends @Dartmoor_SRTA. Route illuminated by our drone spotlight. KG

Morning Folks. Good advice here. In addition to this General Offence 8 of Article 265B of the Air Navigation Order states it is an offence to fly close to or inside areas where an emergency response effort is ongoing.

Reminder 🚨 If you own a drone, avoid flying near emergency services helicopters 🚁 It can have a serious impact in an emergency, and the critical care the helicopters can provide. Our dronecode advises where you can fly your drone safely. 👉 register-drones.caa.co.uk/drone-code

Great to work alongside our friends @DsrtTavistock last night in a Search and Rescue Exercise, looking for a “casualty” close to Swelltor Quarry Dartmoor. Casualty spotted quickly by the drone and rescuers then guided in using our live feed. #goodwork #drones

On Thursday our Exeter Drone Team hosted @swasFT #HEMS Desk Dispatchers. We regularly operate in the same airspace as @DevonAirAmb so it’s good for us all to understand how we operate and how we can deconflict. KG

On Friday our Exeter Drone Team travelled to @swpolice to collaborate with their drone Team, #NPAS47 from #StAthan and @BorderForce to test our capabilities at detecting persons smuggled in HGVs, using our thermal imaging equipment. KG #ModernSlavery #OrganisedImmigrationCrime
