@DC_Police @ExeterCouncil @HighwaysSWEST Sarcasm… brilliant 🙄 maybe if I wasn’t nervously scanning every road for potholes I would be able to keep an eye on the speed gauge. I’m not sure the the third world dirt tracks we currently have to drive on technically count as roads so maybe I can use that in my defence.

@DC_Police @ExeterCouncil @HighwaysSWEST it’s an absolute kick in the teeth that I get a threatening letter for doing 35mph when most of my journeys involve dodging pot holes the size of coal mines. You guys should sort your priorities out. the state of our roads is a Disgrace

@DC_Police I got a phone call today from one of your officers, I agreed to email her, but the email bounced, all I have for an address is her number e.g. 12345@dc.police.co.uk. How do I forward the email as her phone no is outgoing only. Many thanks.

I’ve spent the last 4 hours supporting @DC_Police with a road closure on the A3052. Thankyou to PC Joel from @exmouthpolice for working in appalling conditions this evening and to all of the other Police Officers, Contact Officers and Emergency services who have been working flat out. Sadly, the business pictured, didn’t survive and is completely flooded inside. I have no words!

Roads and public transport remain disrupted this morning as we deal with the aftermath of Storm Goretti. Please avoid travelling if you can. If you must make a journey, check routes and travel operators in advance, as many bus and rail services are cancelled or delayed. 1/2

We're urging people to stay away from the coast and seafronts during Storm Goretti. An amber weather warning is in place for dangerous winds in west Cornwall, with severe conditions and large waves making coastal areas extremely unsafe. In an emergency call Coastguard 999.
