I feel privileged to be nominated for a @BBCCornwall #MakeADifference Award 2024. In the 34 years I have been teaching, I have tried hard to use my free time to improve opportunities for schools, teachers and pupils - particularly in our coastal & rural areas. Thank you so much!

@ShanWareing I too found that new role, new office afforded an opportunity to sort through the books that really mattered to me. I had a similar sifting policy in terms of what made the cut!

Moving from hot-desking back to an office means I can bring some books to work again. Which ones? The left hand pile are my published books, articles and chapters. The next three piles are books that changed me professionally. Physical books are so lovely.
