And the consequences? ❌ Groundbreaking research canceled. ❌ U.S. labs emptied. ❌ Startups abandoned. ❌ International talent fleeing. ❌ Entire teams punished for the appearance of risk. This isn't how you defend innovation. This is how you destroy it. We need national security. But we also need common sense. And we desperately need policies that distinguish between real threats and imagined ones.
