I Try hard really hard to keep my 3 young daughters grounded and to make sure they do not caught up in this very material world. Last night I told them if business ever gets really bad we might have to sell our house, cars etc and that I would have to get a second job and all non necessities would have to be cut to survive. My youngest said “dad would you have to also sell your NFTs” ? I immediately responded “let’s pray it never gets that bad” …..

I’ve been working on a secret art project for Radiohead over the last year. 8,000 fragments and ephemera from the Kid A and Amnesiac recording sessions, transformed into a an audio-visual cinema installation called “Motion Picture House.”We just launched in a bunker built 30 ft underground at Coachella, then will be going on tour for next year. It’s hard to put into words what it’s been like to work with your childhood heroes. As the credits rolled with my name included, I felt a myriad of emotions but mostly gratitude for the strange loops in our lives that (ideally) return us to ourselves again and again. I deeply recall the teenage me standing in the pouring rain at their concert at Merriweather Pavilion. My mom had packed me a to-go container of spaghetti (odd choice, I know) and I stood in the rain and ate spaghetti and let myself feel something. That’s what this experience means to me and what I hope this will be for those who attend: permission to connect to the parts of yourself that aren’t quite sure where things have all landed or where they might be going.
