@fkuhlmann Agreed — exciting times. AI doesn’t just help us improve our daily routines; it also teaches us a lot about ourselves.

One aspect of the discussion surrounding artificial intelligence, in my opinion, receives far too little attention: we are all currently learning more about intelligence, consciousness, and cognitive processes than any generation before us. For the first time, humanity has the opportunity to collectively observe thought processes and see how these processes gradually become formalized, thereby making them more understandable.

We now have Tezos art integrated on @verse_works. Signaling the right impulses for a multi-chain art ecosystem. Happy to see this! 🥳

Germany spent €14.9bn in direct public money on culture in 2021 — the latest full official figure including all levels of government. The US also subsidizes culture — but more indirectly, through tax incentives for private donations. So the question is: who gets to shape taste? Obviously Germany: public institutions. US: collectors, donors, galleries, museum boards. More private does not automatically mean more democratic. But I think it’s important to know, that in Germany, the state has a stronger influence on which art becomes institutionally relevant. How do you like it?

Going to visit @moco_museum in Barcelona with the Moco NFT. If you like to visit the Moco Museum in Amsterdam, Barcelona or London from time to time you should get the NFT which was minted in 2022 for free access 🙌

The cybernetic society and metamodernism are not parallel phenomena. One is the material ground of the other. Second-order cybernetics is the connecting principle. This is the working thesis that emerged from a recent conversation between myself and an AI — a conversation about observation, feedback, memory, and what it means to think inside a system that thinks back. floriankuhlmann.com/updates/the-cy… Picture: current Drop in collaboration with @_second_guess showing the hand of the observer of second order (spoiler: you).

I’ve already spent more than $3,000 in in-game taxes on this little guy. And that’s what everyone who still holds a Citizen has had to do. But you can still enter the game by buying a Citizen around the current floor — roughly 0.7 ETH. That´s what I should have done. 🙄 Meanwhile, Death & Taxes by @m0dest___ has collected 313 ETH — more than $700k. Around 150 Citizens are still in the game, but only 69 will share the final pot (if it doesn´t get hacked ;-). It’s getting expensive. Every day, a few more Citizens fall. And at some point, the real game becomes psychological: admitting that the risk is too high, or that your bags simply aren’t deep enough to survive another few weeks of rising daily costs. Especially when players like @AdamWeitsman are involved, where money feels almost irrelevant. 🤑 I just hope this doesn’t wipe out people’s savings — and that the whales don’t simply brute-force all their Citizens to the finish line, but leave room for smaller players, poorer Citizens, or decentralized Citizen teams to participate in the pot at the end. Because it’s better for the whole space when more people get to win, not fewer. Brutal game. Brilliant game. Very real game theory.

@harvey_rayner Why can’t we have a wallet that requires a fee to accept something ?

Is it possible to prohibit malicious and unwanted NFTs being airdropped into our wallets and thus polluting the environment in which our treasured Art collections live? If the answer is no - is this just a shitty user experience, we the crypto savvy, just accept as a tradeoff to owning a decentralized wallet? One problem, as I see it, is asking new Art Collecting entrants to accept this tradeoff without selling them on some very technical arguments, the likes of which many Art lovers won't care about. Collecting art for many is about carefully curating an identity. Attempting to do this in a convention that allows anyone to inject random detritus into that identity and thus misrepresenting us will be intolerable for many, especially those who care about beauty. What are the solutions that help to combat this?

Absolut in Ordnung. Aber seitdem ich auf Deutsch poste, sehe ich die Seuche auch. Ungeil.

Pretty good choice. 😉 Düsseldorf is not only a Mother City of Art. It is arguably one of the mother cities of contemporary photography. The Becher School changed how photography was seen, collected and institutionalized — from Bernd & Hilla Becher to Gursky, Ruff, Struth, Höfer, Hütte and Esser. Düsseldorf’s impact is insane.

Looking at the sheer number of internationally influential artists who studied or taught at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, one could quite seriously call Düsseldorf a true Mother City of Art. From Beuys, Richter and Polke to Gursky, Ruff, Struth, Höfer, Trockel, Schütte, Grosse and many others — the density is almost absurd. Düsseldorf may not always shout the loudest. But in terms of artistic impact, it has shaped contemporary art far beyond Germany.

I have just collected collective binary loops cbl14 & cbl26 by @fkuhlmann curated by @_second_guess & @postanika on @objktcom. A really inspiring work! @fkuhlmann’s Collective Binary Loops explores how our fingers have become the primary way we navigate and shape digital space. Each work balances two worlds: structured machine logic and fluid, symbolic expression, connected through the central motif of the hand. The pieces reflect a reality where opposites coexist, from technology to human ideals, and meaning emerges through interaction. Rooted in both manual input and generative code, the collection captures how we continuously move through and reshape today’s networked systems. Thanks, @Featurefrank, for bringing this collection to my attention 🙏
