Let's answer some of these... 1. Unless you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you struggled. Especially those of us working in manufacturing at hourly rates. My first paycheck at a good FT job in 1979 was $128.62 after taxes. 40 hr week. $3.62 pr hour. I worked 3rd shift and I drove a used car. 2. In 1980, I shared an apartment with a friend. The rent was $350. Along with utilities, insurance, groceries and gas...I was lucky to have $50 left at the end of the month. 3. I didn't have student debt. I was smart enough to work FT and use my employers tuition reimbursement plan to pay for my degree, which I didn't get until I was 40. Sometimes, the choices are hard. Sometimes, you can't get what you want right away. Sometimes, you have to work harder and smarter. Sometimes you have to work 2 or 3 jobs. I did. Life is hard. Stop blaming others and come up with a new plan.

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $2,200 for rent and $7 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.
