This 19yo YC founder's startup advice: be insanely curious 📚
@zixihong_ -"Always look for problems. We found our space by researching the landscape. As you dig deeper: wow, problem here, problem there.
Read books, articles. We have a Discord where we share history, geography, whatever—not even company stuff.
Absorb everything."
Curiosity → problems → startups.

Today we're launching a new brand and website for Warp.
Our last website was built 18 months ago. At the time, we had a handful of customers, a small team, and a product thesis that most people thought was a dead end.
The feedback in 2023 from investors was consistent: the market's too fragmented, the incumbents are too entrenched, you're betting on technology that doesn't work yet.
We didn't listen.
Since then, Warp has grown to serve thousands of companies. We've processed hundreds of millions in payments, on track to $1B this year. Companies are migrating away from ADP, Rippling, Gusto. Some breaking their contracts to switch.
We went from a payroll product to a full platform: HRIS, payroll, AI tax compliance, benefits, IT, global payroll. The first employee management platform that runs itself.
At a certain point, the gap between what you've become and how you present yourself starts to work against you.
So we rebuilt everything.
The new brand is built around a tension we love: analog precision meets velocity. Technical, but warm. Engineered for performance, designed with soul. Think 1960s racing garage meets modern editorial design.
It reflects how we build the product: obsessive attention to the details you never see. The invisible circuit boards are beautiful.
We're just getting started. This is the next chapter.

After YC, Airbnb raised $615k at a $3M post-money valuation. We were the highest valuation in our batch.
nikhil@uninsightful
the default yc round this batch (W26) seems like 4m on 40m I remember when I first started in venture exactly three years ago (W23 batch) and most venture ppl were complaining about YC pushing their founders to do 2m on 20m in 3 years the market went from a very begrudging 2 on 20 to a more neutral 4 on 40 interesting to think about where things land 3 years from here

@erikalee @brycent @trudythecorgi Is there any actual Corgi on staff? Cute name but I’d be bummed if I showed up and there wasn’t a corgi. 😉

Dropped @docsyde_ai in @brycent ’s startup review stream tonight.
He pulled it up live. Loved it.
We’re building a vertically integrated AI coworker for B2B sales teams, CRM to signed contract, zero manual work. So sales teams can finally focus on what they’re actually paid to do: close deals.

This YC founder runs advertising like a hedge fund 📊
"We deploy capital (ad spend), backed by securities (brand/product). We generate alpha (sales). We take carry (%).
Most agencies use simple linear models. But the optimization problem is convex and non-linear.
Math > creativity for most brands."
Is your marketing team solving the wrong equation?

Excited to announce that Ricky and I are joining @ycombinator
A year and a half ago, we joined @mintlify, where we overlapped paths. Ricardo went from sales to eng, and I went from eng to sales. The sales org started small with just me and the head of sales, and now we've grown to over 12 reps and 3 solutions engineers. Ricky joined when the engineering team was 3 people, and he's helped scale the team to over 20 engineers.
Ricardo and I didn't want to leave Mintlify because work didn't feel like work. We played ping pong, solved customer pain points, shipped and sunsetted features, and a lot more. We also learned a fuck ton from @handotdev and @hahnbeelee.
Ricardo and I left because we wanted to build a tool that was beyond our internal sales team. As both of us come from sales backgrounds, we noticed a few key problems: the modern GTM stack is fragmented, data in CRMs is missing/incomplete, and reps have limited time to context switch between calls. Perhaps the biggest insight: how do reps increase deal ACV through value selling and not line-item selling?
We'll be launching in the upcoming weeks.
If you're in sales or building a GTM team, check out our GTM audit salesgraph.com/gtm-audit, a cheatsheet on your company's GTM motion to help reps with background research.

I would also love to chat about your team's current sales processes, dm me, coffee on me!
As once said by a wise man, "always be selling".
