I’m so upset… My Kindle is fifteen years old. It still works fine, and I want no other. I read a lot, and this is the only e-reader that doesn’t hurt my eyes. None of the new models have a screen that so perfectly mimics paper. And now Amazon is forcing me to buy a new one. 😡 I don’t need a touchscreen or sound, and I definitely don’t want adverts! 🤬 The timing couldn’t be worse either… I can’t afford it right now. ☹️ I guess I won’t be buying more ebooks for a while... I’ll just have to read the ones I already have.

@Chronodendron @bonejrp My old paperwhite is largely fine too, battery just doesn't last as long but still goes a good week.

I always make sure to turn it off completely, not leave it on stand by or screensaver, and I let the battery run out before charging it full again. I don't leave it in the sun or outside (cold/humid) and I handle it with care. That's pretty much it. My last phone lasted ten years. My laptop is almost seven. Buy quality and treat it well. Saves a lot!

IMO they shouldn't really be dispensing foreign prescriptions willy nilly to people normally resident in the UK. Checks should be made standard and pharmacists should be able to refuse them.

Before you mow this spring, walk your yard first. Rabbits nest directly in the ground and a lawnmower will destroy a nest in seconds. What to look for: a small patch of disturbed grass or a subtle depression, often covered with dried grass and fur. If you find one, don't move it or disturb the nest. Mom is around, but rarely seen at the nest. They'll be gone in three weeks and you can mow safely.
