Exactly. People think people are just randomly hating on Marathon to fail, no. It’s coming from people who played Bungie games like Destiny before & have been proven time & again that Bungie doesn’t care about delivering what you want. They killed Destiny 2 effectively for this. So no it’s not some random “hurrrr I hate Marathon cause it’s cool” no. They gave up on the people who brought them success. Undervalued, under delivered & abused their good will for too long. So people walked away. Anything else is cope & they know it. Marathon is failing because of Bungie being Bungie. That’s all it is.

Hot-takemin moment: I’ve been playing Division 2 since 2019, and its the only Ubisoft game I still play, partly because of sentimentality, and partly because its the only still ongoing Ubisoft Game that I enjoy. I off and on play Massive Entertainment’s World in Conflict too. Still a very fun RTS. Speaking of Division 2, its funny and ironic to me how the devs acknowledge players love certain OP builds and the power fantasy that come with those builds - and instead of nerfing what players like, their approach has been ACTUALLY implementing “make other builds stronger more fun to give players more choice” A far cry from Helldivers 2. I swear if Arrowhead ran Division 2, they would have nerfed most of these popular builds to the ground for “balance”.

I still stand by this DLC being underhated. Everyone already knows how bad the story and raid are, but even outside of that this was a $50 DLC with such little quantity and quality. Strand single handily carried this DLC for some. 2nd worst DLC in the series, EoF being 1st
