It took me more than 3 months to get out for this depression. I can say today that im okay. Doing better, taking one day at the time. Dealing with a lost is never easy but I would still be here… living. Thanks to everyone that helped me through this hard times. Love you all! 🥰

Always in a situation where it’s a first for me. A client sent me an industrial switch to test and verify compatibility with existing infrastructure. I noticed it didn’t have a power cord and I’d have to figure out how to connect DC power wires. Ok no problem, just need to make sure I don’t electrocute myself or cause this switch to start smoking ⚡️ That was the hardest part for me. But with the help of YouTube and a voltmeter I got it working. Then there’s getting used to the interface to properly configure this switch to uplink with a different vendor. So far it’s going well. I’m hopeful the final configuration will get things up and running quickly.

@danieldibswe A family member whom I looked up much at the time was doing networking at the time when I was in the crossroads of deciding what to do next - then started as oss tech while learning networking. Now +10 yrs as network engineer / specialist. Retail and B2B sales before that.

How did you get involved in networking/IT? My only experience of networking was from LAN parties. After Swedish marine corps and working in automotive industry, I found a University program connected to Cisco Netacad. Loved every day of it. Purely luck that I found networking.

@SannaKSt Tuskin lopettaisi, korkeintaan vähentäisi. Rikosvastuun alaikärajan lasku olisi mahdollisesti tehokkainta, jos siihen yhdistetään tarkoituksenmukaiset rangaistukset ja myös vanhemmille velvoite toimenpiteisiin, joita seurataan - ei jokaisesta sanailusta, vaan jos toistuvaa.

@TracketPacer But... I see you configured the inverse proxy-port autonegotiation feature, right? Otherwise might see some wonky metrics due to data traveling from a lower numbered port to a higher port even if you use gravity to achieve the link.
