We believe issues of safety on the TTC would be best addressed by members of the TPS. Illegal eviction "Notice". The Ontario Emergency Management & Civil Protection Act is subordinate to the Canadian Charter of Rights, under which the caselaw requires that the city not evict unless first offered truly accessible accommodation. Not offered here. @AlexFromBarrie @BarrieToday @CTVBarrieNews @SimcoeNews @CBCNews @BarriePolice

Importantly, but untested, is that if people's trauma is directly in relation to their experiences in the shelter system, then reasonably no offer of shelter can be considered "truly accessible." Housing can be the only adequate remedy in this situation. /2
