@svabhishek @cosmos @larry0x @gadikian There is no self-destruct and reuse of an address in CosmWasm.
If you deployed a valid contract, but kept control of the admin for it, you could "migrate" it to new bytecode (proper upgrade path).
Just check admin is nil or secure DAO before trusting a contract.

tldr of tornado governance hack: 1. hacker makes a proposal that executes code from a contract 2. users vote for the proposal since contract code looks good, proposal passes 3. hacker self-destructs contract and deploys malicious one in same address 4. 2nd contract is executed

I use tarpaulin and often have 95% coverage on contracts, missing some more paranoid error cases. But maybe llvm-cov would show I am still missing some?

What's the preferred tool to analyze code coverage?
tarpaulin, cargo-llvm-cov, ...?
tarpaulin seems less "accurate" in that it only analyzes branch conditions where llvm-cov seems to report line-per-line.
Switching from tarpaulin to llvm-cov increased our coverage by 15%

CosmWasm was much more user friendly in return values a year ago... til people found this exposed non-determinism in the Cosmos SDK (queries, errors, events) and exploited that for chain halts.

Maybe one per (connection, port). But there are at least 2 commonly used connections between Juno and Osmosis to the Osmosis ics20 transfer port - one for native, another a contract for CW20 tokens.
I spent many months undoing arbitrary limitations in specs.

I think ICS-20 should enforce only 1 active channel per connection like ICS-27 does

“Web3” is an entrenchment of the client-server model, locking users in to a centralized design while masquerading as decentralized system.
We need a replacement for the World Wide Web (WWW), not a browser extension which deludes users into trusting a third party.

Very good thread for all serious IBC devs to read.
Good question by @larry0x and great answers.
TL;DR app callbacks are needed for much IBC functionality but are not present unless you use custom contracts and channels.
