Last year, House Republicans cut $187 billion from SNAP in their “One Big Ugly Bill,” the largest cut in history. Nearly 2.5 million Americans have already lost benefits, and worse is still to come. Today, I voted NO on their latest bill that keeps food assistance out of reach for those who need it most.

Strong communities need strong spaces to come together. I was proud to help secure $500,000 in federal funding for the Lawrence Community Center to modernize and transform it into a centralized hub for families, services, and connection.
