Disingenuous conclusion to come to and one Klopp wouldn’t agree with. There’s parts of Klopp’s game model that when combined with what Slot was trying to do made them better than Liverpool this season but there’s things Slot added that helped them win the league.
It was more a stars lining up right thing with Slot’s principles, good fitness when both approaches were combined in successive years, and a team (without much investment) who were naturally balanced, and able to carry able the global game plan whilst individually mitigating the weaknesses.
Recruitment and players available a more obvious explanation for the change in quality with the likes of Trent and Diaz making up for game model weaknesses through individual quality (build-up and pressing cheat codes).
Slight misalignment in tactics and player profiles in the current squad but that doesn’t take away from the great first season he coached.

My God De Zerbi. That training video. I know they’ve given us a bit more access than we usually get from those videos but fuck me it’s hard not to believe in him already.
On top of that, watch the first 5 minutes of the 3rd episode of the Marseille documentary and you will see a man who cares so incredibly deeply about the club he is managing that you’ll never have to question it while he’s at Spurs. Truly inspirational. I’m all in. I can’t wait for next Sunday
