Where we getting this information? The studio went independent because of Destiny, expanded year over year, and looked good enough on Bungie’s valuation to get picked up by Sony for 3.6 billion — while also affording to spin up multiple incubation projects. Granted only one of those made it out..but the point still stands. Destiny, was massively profitable.

This stopped looking like a business decision a while ago. Destiny is profitable. Bungie is valuable. Walking away from both isn’t the market talking — it’s Sony choosing to burn down an era rather than admit any part of it worked.
