@HMRCcustomers All I want is for someone to explain why I am paying nearly £500 more tax since December. This is a significant about of money and nobody seems willing to explain the change

@Rob_85 If it is for the current tax year it will be used until the end of this tax year. It can take up to 10 working days for your employer to receive it from the date it was issued and your employer will operate the code once received. The tax code for the following tax year may 1/2

@HMRCcustomers 15 days have passed since receiving my tax code notice (which takes 10 days to process) and the change is still not reflected in my payslip nor does it show on my government gateway. This month I will be unable to pay my mortgage. Why is no one at HMRC willing to help me

@HMRCcustomers I don't recall receiving a letter. It's shown online. The first I knew of it was when I saw my payslip for December

@HMRCcustomers Nobody I have spoken to had been able to explain the change and every line of escalation I have made has gone dead. as a resultPhone calls are not answered, letters promised are not sent, I have no way of challenging the calculation but cannot afford my bills this month
