Mixed emotions today, spoilt by the babies as always and had a lovely afternoon in Broadway but the first #FathersDay without Dad is tough 😔 (still waiting for his stone to be engraved)
Dogs have been golden and loved having treats and all the attention from strangers 🥰❤️
Well I've ended week one and completed my 10k challenge and more every day. Here's to week two starting tomorrow.
Part of today's steps taken at the walled garden at the Grange Hospital.
Beautiful to walk around with all the pretty flowers and fruit and veg growing.
Happy heavenly 13th birthday to my Princess Ruby and her sweet sister Rosie.
Miss them both so much but I’m sure they’re having the time of their lives over the rainbow bridge 🥲❤️🌈

First full day in Wales so we went up our favourite mountain (bit windy!).
And as if that wasn’t enough fun, Peggy decided to run off and taunt some local cows to try and get them to play (zoom in on the last video) 🤦🏻♂️😂❤️

We made it to Wales!! 😃🏴
Peggy LOVED her first ever trip to the beach! 🥰❤️
She was initially scared of the sea but soon got over it 😂😂

A year ago today we held you as you took your last breath, my heart shattered and I’ve never felt pain like it.
We loved you every day of your life and will miss you every day of ours, our sweet little Princess Ruby 😪💔🌈

I got the call this morning that I knew was quickly approaching. Dad passed away this morning nine days shy of his ninety-ninth birthday. Long time farmer, grew up in the depression, but what he was most proud of was his service as a combat infantryman in Europe in World War Two. He carried a BAR and until recently I never knew him to sleep all the way through a night. He made his peace with God on the night of January 10th, 1945 in a foxhole southeast of Bastogne. First platoon, Company C, 134th Infantry, 35th Division. Every since Mom passed away in 2019 he wanted to be next to her in the Irish Grove Cemetery and to be with his army buddies. You see he was only 19 and he was the “baby” of his company. At least that was his nickname. The Bulge, Holland, Ruhr River crossing, Rhine River crossing and then up to the Elbe River less than 75 miles from Berlin. He said “we always moved on Sundays”, looks like this morning was his last move. We are all alright and ok with this. His quality of life in the end was not good even though his care was excellent. Lastly, in farming lingo I am officially the “old man” around here now.
