#OTD 1949 - George Hendrick was born in Los Angeles, CA.
"Silent George" was a very underrated player for the Cardinals teams in the "Whiteyball" era.
Happy 76th Birthday George!
📺 World Series game 7 - Hendrick throws out Robin Yount at third on Cecil Cooper's single in the top of the 4th

DRIER SUMMER AHEAD?
Recent pattern/data trends have been to bring below normal precipitation further east into more of the Midwest and Ohio Valley - with a more notable drought risk for the Northern and Central Plains.

Illinois State is a team that is quietly winning the offseason.
The Redbirds top two leading scorers have both elected to return & not enter the transfer portal.
-- Chase Walker: 15.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 58.0 FG% as a sophomore
-- Johnny Kinziger: 14.6 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 43.8 FG% as a sophomore
Both are no doubt P5-level players. Redbirds will be at the top of the MVC.

15 years ago I walked into a church basement off of Diversy and Sheffield in Chicago and honestly, in full surrender, said I was an alcoholic. Little did I know that 15 yrs later I would look back and realize it was the best decision I would ever make. Here's a few things I have learned along the way.
- What you think of me is none of my business
- All emotional responses and physical responses derive from 2 core elements. Love or Fear.
-Living life in brutal honesty is total freedom
- I love who I am and know I am perfectly imperfect.
- You can only help others if you are not dwelling on yourself.
- If it's not a matter of life and death it's not worth worrying about.
- If others are annoying me I am not centered
- My physical and mental fitness is the core to my happiness and life fulfillment
- Most of what happens in your life is out of your control. It's your choice to let go or be dragged.
Everything I have in my life is due to that decision 15 yrs ago and I remain blessed as long as I walk the line.
And of course the biggest blessing is to share this journey with my wonderful wife @Jheinelover
