@BenHaslamRacing Breeders premiums. Perhaps a high premium rate up to when they've earned 15-20k in such. Then there's an incentive to breed, and get these horses racing. Not dissimilar idea to gbb bonuses though they run out at 100k. Make an incentive to breed and get them racing.

A ‘cheap’ foal/yearling is now considered by the vendors to be at a level far higher to where the buyers think. Cost of production too high vs incentive to buy at the new ‘cheaper’ levels

Always seems to be at least one rules trainer who enters a horse in the Exeter point to point bumper whose horse hasn’t been pointing and so can’t run, what is surprising this year is that it is Polly Gundry who is the culprit

@p2p_alex @quevega Particularly novice sellers/claimers. Give the smaller owner a chance of winning a race before being handicapped. If I was king for a day a whole raft of 30k ish tag novice claiming hurdles would be my first move. Let the Irish Point winners take each other on at Newbury instead.

Idea for owners of lower grade horses. Bring back a full program of selling and claiming races including over fences. Bring back the super seller final and hold that on a big Saturday meeting.

@HoskinsSam Firstly forget beginners, make them all novices. Why preclude some of the (small already) pool of horses from running? Secondly, demand must be greater than supply. For instance in Ireland.

Ideas for boosting the Beginners Chase situation.. 1. Make them all qualifiers for an end of season Nov Hcap Chase final. Perhaps even the existing Chelt Festival Nov Hcap? 2. Create bonuses for horses that take part in them before going on to win one of their next few starts?

@Davidj0hnson123 Why do beginners/novice chases have to be a black/white, all or nothing option. Why not have 1 or max 2 a week, keeping demand high and supply short. If we are so in desperate need of these races trainers will travel to where they are.

We’ve all joked and picked fun at the state of the game for the last few years. Basically trying to get people to take some action, it now feels different doesn’t it, our 3rd walk over in a week, and still no one wants to make change.

Thurles has good ground and no watering system today, yet bar one Conditions race has fairly healthy fields. Why can Irish NH racing get runners on good ground in October but UK NH can’t ?
