SISTER HEALTH UPDATE: It looks like they're going to be scheduling my sister's open heart bypass surgery on Tuesday of this upcoming week. They anticipate that she'll remain in the hospital for 7 to 10 days after surgery. After that, she'll take about 3 months in-home convalescing. Then, another 3 months after that before she's fully recuperated. After my open heart and lung surgery, I was in the hospital for over a month recovering, but again, that was much more extensive surgery than this will be. And I'd say it took me another month at home before I started to get back to normal. My surgery was extremely painful for a long time after the surgery was done. Hopefully my sister's won't be as bad.
